The Environment Agency has designed a web site to help businesses understand the complex regulations affecting their environmental obligations. It is intended particularly for small businesses, and contains both mandatory measures required by the law, and good practice measures to help look after your environment. It offers free information about noise, waste, energy, pollution etc.

The content may be particularly useful for small business wanting to;

• understand technical and legal obligations which are clearly described,
• meeting those obligations to avoid enforcement,
• avoiding waste, accidents and unnecessary expense on fuel, water and disposal costs, and disruption to business or financial loss arising from such incidents,
