Review of Polling Districts and Polling Stations 2010
The Council is required to undertake and complete a review of all polling districts, polling places and polling stations once every four years. The 2010 review is now underway and will examine the current polling arrangements in place.
Definitions
Polling District: the area created by the division of a Ward into smaller parts, within which a polling place can be determined which is convenient to electors.
Polling Place: the building or area in which polling stations will be selected by the Returning Officer.
Polling Station: the room or building where the poll takes place.

Comments are welcomed about the suitability of polling districts and polling places as well as any alternative proposals. The views of people who have particular expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for people who have disabilities will also be sought. Anyone eligible to vote in the North Warwickshire constituency can submit their views. People or organisations making representations should, if possible, suggest alternative places that may be used as polling stations.
Representations must be submitted in writing to David Harris, Democratic Services Manager, North Warwickshire Borough Council, The Council House, South Street, Atherstone, Warwickshire CV9 1DE or emailed to davidharris@northwarks.gov.uk The deadline for representations is Friday 5 November 2010.
At the conclusion of the review stage a report will be prepared for the Council to adopt. It is hoped to bring this report to the meeting of Council due to be held on 15 December 2010.
