North Warwickshire People's Panel

The peoples panel is made up of over 800 residents of the Borough who will be representative of the local population.  Their opinion is sought about Council services through postal and email surveys.  We would like the panel to be representative of the population with a balance that represents the make up of the Borough.

How did it start?

The panel formed part of the Council's response to a national emphasis on community consultation and in particular to support the Best Value regime and the need to collect performance indicator data.

What we do with your responses?

We use this feedback to assess user satisfaction and views on any initiatives that will be affecting the Borough.  We will also inform you with some of the key results and how we plan to use the information.

How will be asked to participate?

We will send out questionnaires or survey forms to fill in and return by post or email.  There may be occasions when the Council would like to invite you to attend small discussion focus groups.

What happens to my views?

Your opinions, ideas and comments are very valuable and will contribute to the decisions on issues, however often what you say is part of a much longer process of consultation.

Who can get involved ?

If you are a resident in the Borough and over 16 years of age then you can become a panel member and get involved.

What areas will I be expected to comment on?  

Subjects to be consulted on range from areas of general satisfaction, communications, litter to sport and leisure, health, housing, and planning issues.

Confidential information 

We hold names and addresses of panel members on a secure database and limit access only to employees who send out questionnaires.  Your details will not be passed to anybody else.
