Social Inclusion and Sport
North Warwickshire Community Sport Network
North Warwickshire's Community Sports Network is a group that focuses on increasing physical activity opportunities while promoting sport as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The group has many members from different organisations and are currently developing an action plan to better co-ordinate and re-source the sports and physical activity agendas.
So far the group has been successful in attracting around £8000 from Sport England to deliver 19 projects through the year 1 Sports Unlimited programme.
Just over £10,000 has been allocated to North Warwickshire Community Sports Network for the delivery of sports activity between April 2009 and March 2010 (Year 2) through the Sports Unlimited Programme.
The funding focuses on the provision of sporting opportunity for 11 - 19 year olds. Project proposals are invited from Sports Clubs, School Sports Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport and the Youth Service.
Project proposals are welcomed for the delivery of activity during April - July 2010.
The next proposal deadline is 11th December 2009. All proposals should be sent to Evan Ross either by e-mail on lcdd@northwarks.gov.uk or by post to Community Development, South Street, Atherstone CV9 1DE.
