North Warwickshire is very safe place to live with low levels of crime and disorder. The North Warwickshire Community Safety Partnership is committed to making North Warwickshire a safer place and to improve local people's confidence in how the partnership is dealing with anti social behaviour.

What is anti-social behaviour? It's behaviour that causes alarm, distress or harassment to you, your friends and/ or family. Examples include:
- Graffiti
- Litter
- Fly tipping
- Noise nuisance
- Hoax calls
- Animal related problems
- Rowdy and nuisance behaviour
- Abandoned cars
- Begging
- Intimidation or harassment
- Sexual acts
- Vandalism
- Street drinking
- Prostitution
- Inappropriate vehicle use
- Kerb crawling
- Drug misuse/ dealing
North Warwickshire Community Safety Partnership is committed to reducing anti-social behaviour in its communities by following a problem solving approach and through providing
- Positive diversionary activities (Diversion)
- Early intervention and
- Enforcement
Anti-social behaviour is one of the partnerships 4 key priority areas for 2010-11 with a specific focus on;
- youth related anti-social behaviour,
- alcohol related anti-social behaviour and
- criminal damage to vehicles
The partnership addresses anti-social behaviour through its delivery plan and through joint work on Safer Neighbourhoods. Anti-social behaviour problems can be nominated, by the public, as a community priority at Area Forums as part of the Safer Neighbourhood updates and setting community priorities items . Once nominated as a priority, multiagency meetings are often organised to develop an area or problem specific action plan and an information leaflet for local residents is distributed.
Why report it?
Anti-social behaviour can ruin lives. Information residents provide enable action to be taken.
Taking action
Action can be initiated by a number of agencies. This can include:
- Warning letters and interviews
- Acceptable behaviour contracts
- Parenting orders, individual support orders, noise abatement notices, injunctions, dispersal powers and anti-social behaviour orders (ASBOs)
- Possession proceedings against a tenant

Who to report it to
Report anti-social behaviour and nuisance neighbours to:

Warwickshire Police on 01926 415000 or at any police station.
In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, dial 999.
North Warwickshire Borough Council online at: www.northwarks.gov.uk/asb if you do not require an immediate response.
Or by calling the contact centre on 01827 715341 open week days 8:30 - 20:00 and Saturdays 9:00 - 16:00 .

When reporting anti-social behaviour it is helpful if you have specific details about:
- What happened
- When
- Where
- Who was involved
- How you and others were affected by it.
If necessary keep a diary.
All reports of anti-social behaviour are recorded on a partnership database. The partnerships nuisance co-ordinator;
- Maintains the database,
- Develops links with partners for early intervention work
- Keeps victims informed of action taken against the perpetrator
- Refers victims to the appropriate support services.

- Use the Polices complaints procedure.
Victims of anti-social behaviour
- All victims and witnesses are treated fairly with dignity and respect, with all instances of anti-social behaviour taken seriously, applying a multi agency problem solving solution where appropriate.
- Victims and witnesses who report anti-social behaviour via any of the routes highlighted above and who do not require an immediate response will be contacted within a maximum of 5 working days.
- Reports of anti-social behaviour, taken by an agency other than the Police, requiring an immediate Police response will be forwarded to the Police without delay.
