When the Council is carrying out re-development work on its estates it sometimes involves demolishing properties as well as refurbishment work. Tenants involved in any redevelopment scheme are fully consulted. The Council works with tenants to meet their needs for re-housing. However the Council could, under certain circumstances, enforce notice on tenants to ensure that the re-development work is not delayed. When tenants have to leave their homes because of a particular scheme home loss payments are made and all removals expenses are met.
