Applying for Council accommodation
All applicants for Council housing are placed on a Housing Register. You can apply for council housing online via the Uchoose website.

Please do not worry if you do not have access to a computer - the Housing Options and Advice Team will be pleased to help you. If you do not have access to a computer or a relative/friend or support worker to help you then contact the Housing Options and Advice Team to see how they can help. They are able to complete the application form for you, make expressions of interest on your behalf and send you details of suitable property adverts. There are computers available in our One Stop Shop that you can also access.
The Common Lettings Policy sets out how the Council allocates its properties and how the Housing Register is maintained.
In addition to letting its own properties, the Council is asked to recommend applicants to housing associations wishing to let their properties in the Borough.
