Neighbourhood Warden Service

In addition to taking action against individuals, the Housing Division has a Neighbourhood Warden Service. We have four Wardens based in different areas of the Borough who are pro-active within the community in tackling nuisance issues on estates and provide a link between the community, Police, Local Authority and other Partner Agencies. Wardens do not have any power of arrest they are:

• Eyes and ears of the local community
• Deal with anti social behaviour on estates
• Pick up litter
• Report abandoned cars
• Attend local meeting with Tenants 
• Report vandalism and disrepair
• Report graffiti

By working closely with the community and being seen in the area they promote partnership working to deal with issues of concern.
