What can I recycle at kerbside?
What can I recycle in my red box? 
Yes please - Clean clear, green, blue and amber bottles and jars only. Drink cans, washed food cans, clean aluminium foil, aerosol cans e.g. hairspray, deodorant cans.
No thanks - Window glass, syringes, any jars containing hazardous or toxic waste, light bulbs, ceramics, Pyrex cookware, saucepans, building waste, plastic, and broken glass.
Please remember to wash all bottles, jars and food tins, removing jagged lids and lids from jars. Wherever possible squash all tins.
What can I recycle in my blue bag?
Yes please - Newspapers, magazines, white telephone directories, brochures, junk mail, envelopes without windows, Yellow pages, paperback books
No thanks - Cardboard, adhesive labels, sweet papers, foil, envelopes with windows*, hardback books.
Please remove all string and plastic wrappers.
*To recycle all envelopes please remove the film window first.
What can I recycle in my pink bag?
Yes please - Clean clothing, shoes tied in pairs, belts, towels, blankets, handbags, curtains and sheets.
No thanks - Carpets, wet clothes, single shoes, badly soiled or oily clothes, duvets or pillows.
Wherever possible clothing will be re-used, so could you please ensure that all items are clean and dry.
What can I recycle in my orange bag?
Orange bags are 'on a roll'. Please use a new bag for each collection.
Yes please - Shampoo bottles, washing up liquid bottles, detergent bottles, hair product bottles, margarine and ice cream tubs, confectionary tubs, rigid plastic food packets, yogurt pots, plastic milk bottles, drink's bottles (this is a yes please for numbered 1,2,3,5 types of plastics).
No thanks - Polystyrene meat trays, Large plastic items e.g. toys and chairs, cling film, polystyrene, plant pots and carrier bags (this is a no thanks for numbered 4,6,7 types of plastics).
Please remember to wash and squash plastics. This will help us to fit more into the vehicles and provide a more efficient service.
What can I recycle in my yellow bag?
Yes please - Cereal boxes, corrugated cardboard, greeting cards, wrapping paper, pizza boxes, frozen food packets, general grey board packaging.
No thanks - Food waste, foil seals, plastic labels, oil and grease or tetra pack cartons.
Please help us by flattening all your cardboard and cutting down any large cardboard boxes. This will help us to fit more into the vehicles and provide a more efficient service.
