Forward Planning is responsible for drawing up the Local Plan for North Warwickshire (formerly the LDF) as well as other documents for North Warwickshire, overseeing planning policy consultations, giving policy guidance and advice, and undertaking monitoring.
Development Control is responsible for a range of planning functions including processing planning applications, Listed Building and Conservation Area Control, dealing with planning appeals, enforcing planning controls and giving planning advice to the public and developers.
Building Control ensure that building work is carried out to approved standards (Building Regulations), and that safe and healthy conditions are provided for the users of all buildings. In North Warwickshire, this service is provided by the Northern Warwickshire Building Control Partnership.
|Local Land Charges assist those purchasing property or land within the Borough of North Warwickshire. The purpose of the service is to disclose to the vendor/purchaser, information which may affect the property/land.|
|Street Naming and Numbering ensure new streets and buildings are given an address. Consultations take place to ensure that street/house names and numbering schemes do not lead to confusion for emergency services, and that Royal Mail assign a post code.|
