The Northern Warwickshire Building Control Partnership checks that building work (with limited exception) in the Borough is designed and constructed in line with current Building Regulations. These regulations were introduced by the Government to safeguard the health and safety of people using buildings, for energy conservation, and to ensure access and facilities for people with disabilities.
The Building Control service for North Warwickshire is provided by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council under an agency agreement. Advice on obtaining Building Regulations approval for new buildings, dangerous structures, and demolitions can be found via their website.
All requests for inspections must be made on (024) 7637 6144.
A Building Control Duty Officer is normally available to give advice at our offices in Atherstone between 9 and 10.30am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. You can contact the Building Control Duty Officer on (01827) 719283. Outside of these times, your call will be diverted to Nuneaton who will handle your query.
