This page carries a list of current consultations on key planning applications and strategic planning documents drafted by the Council.

FORTHCOMING CONSULTATIONS

• North Warwickshire Pre- Submission Core Strategy

North Warwickshire Borough Council has prepared a Pre Submission Core Strategy DPD for public consultation.

The Local Development Framework (LDF) will be the spatial development plan for North Warwickshire and will set out the Council's vision for development over the next 15 years. The North Warwickshire Local Plan 2006 will be replaced by the LDF, comprising a number of documents, including the Core Strategy that sets out the long term spatial vision for North Warwickshire and the strategic policies to deliver the vision. This is the draft Pre Submission Core Strategy and is required to be publicised to engage with partners, stakeholders, local residents before the preparation of a report and submission to the Secretary of State. An Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP) has also been prepared for consultation, which will look at ways to make our existing infrastructure to work better for us, as well as identifying the need for and securing delivery of additional provision and can be viewed here

A Sustainability Appraisal of the document has also been prepared for consultation which evaluates how social, environmental and economic issues have been taken into account in the preparation of the plan and this will be available from the week commencing 2nd July 

Public consultation on the Pre-Submission Publication  Core Strategy commenced with effect from Thursday 31 May -   Thursday 23 August 2012 

• Gypsy and Travellers Development Plan Document (DPD)

North Warwickshire Borough Council is consulting on the Issues and Options Document for its Gypsy and Traveller DPD. This will form part of the Council's Local Development Framework (LDF). The DPD will be a statutory document within the LDF with the purpose of allocating suitable sites for gypsies and travellers in North Warwickshire and can be viewed here

• Development Management Development Plan Document (DPD)

North Warwickshire Borough Council is consulting on the Issues and Options Document for its Development Management DPD. This will form part of the Council's Local Development Framework (LDF) The Development Management DPD will build on the Core Strategy and will include more detailed local policies for the management of development. It will provide a detailed set of policies, designed to contribute to achieving the Spatial Strategy and Core Planning Policies set out in the Core Strategy.  The document can be viewed here

Comments on the above consultations  are welcome. The documents can be viewed here,  at the Council House, South Street, Atherstone, all Leisure Centres within North Warwickshire and all local libraries including Nuneaton.
