An undulating Parkland course, situated in scenic countryside, with magnificent views of the surrounding area; whilst providing a true test of golfing ability. Atherstone Golf Club has been established since 1894 and is an 18 hole course par 72 sss 70. Over the years the club has produced many outstanding golfers, both amateur and professional. In the amateur ranks there have been many County Players and in Ron Hiatt, one of the best known names in amateur golf in the Midlands, holding the English Seniors Open Title in 1986.

Professionals who learned their golf at Atherstone, include 3 Ryder Cup players; Bernhard Hunt, Geoff Hunt, and Paul Broadhurst. Paul, and Steve Webster, both won the silver medal at the Open, when amateurs, and are both now European PGA Professionals.
