North Warwickshire Borough Council operate a 'suck-cess-ful' cesspool and septic tank emptying service.

We empty waste from domestic and business properties located in areas of the Borough that are not served by a public sewer.

We can collect up to 10,000 litres per load and we charge according to the strength of the waste.

Our tanker operator, Mick, gives a friendly, professional service and has over 20 years experience.

Direct Debit Service

Scheduled emptying frequencies per year (minimum of 1). Your waste will be collected without you having to remember to request it.

Payment to be made by Direct Debit

• £94.40 weak strength waste per load
• £180.50 standard strength waste per load

'Pay as you go' Service

Emptying as required, collection made within 10 working days of your request.

Payment to be made by debit/credit card or cheque in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is weak and standard strength waste?

It's the concentration level (turbidity) of the waste.  Weak strength waste has a lower level than standard waste. 

Who decides whether my waste is standard or weak?

Severn Trent Water, by using a data logger device which is located at their disposal points at the treatment plants.

Why is the cost different for weak and standard strength?

Severn Trent Water set and levy the disposal charges for weak and standard strength waste.  It's more costly for them to treat standard strength waste and the prices they set reflect that.

It's my first emptying, how do you decide whether to charge me for weak or standard strength waste?

The first emptying is charged as standard strength waste and is then changed if data logged as weak at Severn Trent's disposal point.

What are the benefits of paying by direct debit?

It's less cost for you!  Payments are made on the 20th of the month and you can spread the cost over 12 months.  Remembering to call and request a collection is a thing of the past!

I am a Direct Debit Service customer and I require an extra collection, how much will this cost?

Any extra emptying's will be charged at your usual emptying cost. Please call us on 01827 715341 to arrange an emptying.  The collection will be made within 10 working days of your request and payment will be needed in advance by debit/credit card.

Is there anything I shouldn't flush away?

Don't flush sanitary items, nappies, face/baby wipes, condoms, paper towels, kitchen roll, fat, grease or oil.

Other Information

The cesspool emptying vehicles have laden weight of 13.5 tonnes.  You should ensure that the surface upon which the vehicle will stand, during the emptying operation, is of a standard that will provide appropriate support.

It is regretted that this service can not be provided where it would be necessary for the vehicle to travel over unpaved areas.
