Easier access to services
New B.O.B Hub opens at Shustoke
Shustoke residents are now finding it easier to contact key services thanks to the latest B.O.B hub, which has just opened in their new village shop.
The laptop and freephone, funded by the Borough Council, enables customers to contact a range of organisations to obtain advice and information on debt management, benefits, jobs and careers advice - or they can simply surf the net. Hubs are already open at Arley, Ansley Common, Baddesley, Birchmoor, Hartshill and Mancetter.
Councillor Ann Lewis, who chaired the BOB Hub Task and Finish Group said:
" Improving access to services is one of our key priorities and I'm delighted to say that the B.O.B Hubs are a successful spin-off from the Branching Out Bus. The idea behind the Hubs is that residents can contact services in their communities rather than having to travel into Atherstone or Coleshill. "
Shustoke Village Hall received £25,000 of LEADER funding to carry out the alterations to create the village shop.
Further BOB Hubs are planned for Kingsbury, Dordon and at libraries in Coleshill, Polesworth and Water Orton.
