Your Candidate Guide for the Police & Crime Commissioner Elections 2012

Notification of election 

1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Police Area Returning Officer Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6HX on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 12 noon on Friday 19 October 2012. 
2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Police Area Returning Officer, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6HX during the times stated above.
3. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 15 November 2012.
4. A deposit of £5,000 must be paid for each candidate by the deadline for delivery of nominations either in legal tender, by banker's draft and with the Police Area Returning Officer's consent by bank transfer.
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5 p.m. on Wednesday 31 October 2012.
6. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5 p.m. on Wednesday 7 November 2012.
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity, where that physical incapacity occurred after 5 p.m. on Wednesday 7 November 2012 must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5 p.m. on 15 November 2012.
