A New Interactive Local Plan Website is now available at the following link: http://northwarks.devplan.org.uk/. The new Local Plan website includes the full Adopted Local Plan text and Adopted Proposals Map. There are no Inset Maps shown separately as the information, policy areas and proposals have been incorporated into the larger Proposals Map. Full details of how to use the Interactive website are included via the Help link on the webpage. It is advisable to read these instructions before using the interactive Proposals Map.

The North Warwickshire Local Plan was adopted on 4 July 2006. An application by UK Coal has been made to the High Court under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to challenge the validity of the Adopted Local Plan in respect of the reference to the timing of the Housing Development Plan Document. The challenge relates solely to that part of the Plan that refers to the Housing DPD.  The High Court Hearing took place 12 - 14 December 2007.  The challenge by UK Coal failed.  See High Court Judgement.

Many policy numbers in the Adopted Local Plan have altered from draft versions of the Plan. You can view a table which sets out the number of each policy in the modifications version of the Plan and how this has changed in the Adopted Plan. This table can be viewed by  clicking here.
