Information and advice
The Commercial and Licensing Section is committed to working together with business proprietors and managers to achieve the continued improvement of standards and the prevention of potential problems. We are willing, wherever possible, to give advice on legislation, best practice methods and practical solutions to achieving problems. So whether you are considering setting up a business, wish to discuss anything in relation to your existing premises, or are an employee with health and safety concerns please feel free to contact us.
As well as the information found in these web pages and advice given verbally, the Commercial and Licensing Section retain numerous booklets/leaflets giving advice on various health and safety topics. These booklets are freely available on request. Alternatively many of the leaflets are available online at the HSE website at www.hse.gov.uk.
