Application Form: Riding Establishments Licence

A premises is deemed to be a riding establishment if it keeps horses for either or both of the following purposes, that is the purpose of their being let out on hire for riding or the purpose of their being used in providing, in return for payment, instruction in riding.

Licences are issued on an annual basis. Once an application form has been completed and returned an inspection will be arranged by our appointed Veterinary Surgeon who will visit the premises and inspect the facilities and the welfare of the horses to be used and ensure that the conditions of the licence are being complied with. Once we receive a satisfactory report back from our veterinary surgeon an invoice will be sent to you which will comprise fees and charges and the vets costs. Once we receive the payment the licence will be issued.
