Training and Development
The Council is committed to the continuous development of all its employees. Appraisals are carried out on an annual basis and as part of this process individual training and development plans are implemented for all employees. The Council conducts an annual training needs analysis and produces an annual training strategy that is designed to support both individual and corporate training needs. A number of in house training events are carried out each year as well as a number of vocational courses such as NVQ's and professional qualifications. To support this the Council has in place a Training and Development Policy which formally sets out the Council's commitment and approach to training.
