Country Parks in North Warwickshire
Pooley Fields Country Park
Pooley Fields Country Park is situated on the site of Polesworth mine and alongside the Coventry Canal. There are extensive paths around the site with direct access to Alvecote Fields and nature reserve. You can also climb the large "mound", the old spoil heap, and get fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Remember to check out the rocks strewn on the mound, some of them may contain carboniferous plant fossils.
Opening Times: Visitor Centre - Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and School Holidays: March - October: 10.00am to 5.30pm
November - February: 10.00am - 3.30pm
Car Park and Site Opening: March - September: 8.00am - 6.30pm
