Dropped Kerbs and Highway Queries
Warwickshire County Council is the responsible authority for maintaining the Borough's adopted highways and granting consent to install a dropped kerb to your land or property. The exceptions to this are the trunk roads and motorways passing through North Warwickshire, which are controlled by the Highways Agency.
Installing dropped kerbs or an access can require one or two permissions - highway consent, and/or planning permission.
Consent from the responsible highway authority is always required, and you are advised to use the above links to get further information. In addition, planning permission is sometimes required. The following table summarises whether you require planning permission from North Warwickshire Borough Council, and the responsible highway authority to seek consent from.
