There are new rules for businesses and citizens from 1 January 2021.
As a Council we are keen to ensure that you are aware of these changes and can access the appropriate support and advice available both nationally and locally.
You need to act now if you’re:
- importing goods from the EU
- exporting goods to the EU
- moving goods to or from Northern Ireland
- travelling to the EU
- living and working in the EU
- staying in the UK if you’re an EU citizen

West Midlands Growth Hub
The West Midlands Growth Hubs have collaborated to bring all the resources together that businesses need to navigate the changes and new rules, and to help businesses take advantage of new opportunities as the UK moves forward as an independent trading nation.

Midland Export Academy
The Export Academy from the Department for International Trade will help you grow your business by showing you how to sell to new customers around the world. The course is free, and you’ll learn directly from experts in international trade who are on hand to provide support across a range of sectors and businesses, from selling children’s clothes to Spain, to providing PR services for clients in the US. Federation of Small Businesses
The FSB have launched a transition hub which is designed to support small businesses and the self-employed understand and prepare for what comes after the end of the UK/EU transition period.

EU Exit Survey - Transition Diagnostic
