NEW Local Plan

New Local Plan

The  Local Plan sets out the planning policies and site allocations that will be developed in the Borough in the coming years. This means that it will show where houses and businesses will be built in the coming years. It is aiming to provide over 6800 homes and an additional 40 hectares of employment land. These will primarily be located in Polesworth, Dordon and Atherstone along the A5 corridor with other growth at Ansley Common and Hartshill.

The Local Plan (Regulation 19 Version) was out for consultation until 16th March 2018.

The Local Plan went to  Executive Board on Thursday 22nd March and was sent  off to the Inspector for Examination on Tuesday 27th March 2018. Further information about the Examination (including all the evidence base) can be found on our Local Plan Examination page

REGULATION 19 LOCAL PLAN

Corrections for Policy LP39 - the Maps for Newton Regis, Shuttington, Warton and Wood End had the incorrect Policy numbers on them, these have now been corrected and can be seen below

The Draft Local Plan is  was consulted on between  Thursday 10th November and  Friday 31st March 2017.

The Draft Local Plan went to the LDF Sub Committee on Monday 11th September 2017, Executive Board on Wednesday 18th October 2017  and went to Full Council on Tuesday 7th November
