Level 3 Apprenticeship Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician
On a percentage of £26,421 - £28,770 per annum
Year 1 = 55%, Year 2 = 80%, Year 3 = 95% or the national minimum wage (based on age) whichever is the higher
37 hours per week (Monday to Friday. Some flexibility in the working hours will be required from time to time including working bank holidays and Saturdays as required)
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in mechanical repairs/maintenance and its support role, to join our Transport team as an apprentice.
You will be required to undertake work as directed by and under the supervision of the Assistant Manager of Transport and/or a qualified mechanic in the delivery of the responsive and planned maintenance service.
You will work through a structured training programme to deliver the required standard of maintenance and repairs through achieving the competence to service, inspect and maintain vehicles to meet the Councils legal obligations in relation to DVSA, Operators ‘O’ license and manufacturers standards. The training provider will be South Staffordshire College and you will be required to attend the Tamworth College Campus.
Working as part of a small team, you will be able to work with attention to detail, accuracy, to the required standard and be able to meet the service delivery deadlines. You will have good interpersonal skills and have a proactive attitude to completing tasks by taking ownership of your responsibilities.
