Second hand furniture and white goods

If you have furniture or white goods which you no longer want but are in good condition please consider reuse before disposal.

Bulky Waste Collection Service

We’re working in partnership with Emmaus Coventry and Warwickshire to provide a bulky waste collection service for re-usable and non-reusable items. Emmaus Coventry and Warwickshire are a local charity. Items which are reusable will be used by the charity or sold in their shop in Coventry. Anything which cannot be repaired and/or used again will be disposed of responsibly. You can book a bulky waste collection online.

Lower House Farm Re-use Shop

You can take your unwanted items to the charity re-use shop at Lower House Farm recycling centre. The re-use shop is run by Age UK Warwickshire and all sales from the shop go directly to the charity.

Second Chance

Second Chance is a furniture re-use project run by charity Chapter 1 that collects unwanted, but good quality, furniture and other household items and makes them available, at an affordable cost, primarily to those on benefits and low income. To donate to Second Chance call 024 7638 5986 to discuss suitability and arrange a collection.

How much do items cost to buy from second chance?

There is a two-tier price structure. Residents on a means-tested benefit receive a 25% reduction on items over £15. Delivery within North Warwickshire costs £10.

Volunteering at second chance

Volunteering opportunities are available including sales, marketing and warehouse work. For more information contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator, Louise Todd, on 02476 326 189.
