What is a green space?
Green space refers to a range of public areas which are used by the community, such as, parks, landscaped spaces, children's play areas, wildlife areas, allotments, cemeteries and churchyards.

The Green Space Strategy (GSS) 2019-2033, which sets out the vision and focus for green spaces within the borough, it is currently in draft form and is open for consultation during summer 2019. You can tell us your thoughts on your local parks, play areas and green spaces, either by completing an online survey or through attending one of our community events. If you are keen to become involved in the development of the green space then please get in touch with the Community Development Team.

Community Events
There will be several events happening in our green spaces over the summer. Each event will have fun activities for everyone to take part, and there will also be a free picnic! More events and dates may be added, so please follow us on Facebook or check this site.
