Walking in North Warwickshire during Covid-19 Lockdown

Taking a daily walk is a great way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle but it is important to do so in line with current guidance in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

If you choose to walk for exercise you are encouraged to only walk locally to where you live and avoid potentially busy locations. You should walk alone or with people from your household or with one person from another household while maintaining social distancing. Always keep 2m (6ft) distance from anyone you pass on your walk.

If you’re in a household with COVID-19 symptoms, you should self-isolate at home. Those aged 70 or older and those with pre-existing health conditions that put them at increased risk from COVID-19 are particularly advised to self-isolate.

Please see Public Health England’s guidelines on social distancing.

This page will provide information on local walks and will be updated with new routes as they are received from the local communities. Public Health England suggest all adults should be active daily aiming for 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity per week in bouts of 10 minutes or more.

Dordon Walks - Kitwood Avenue to Birchwood 1.75 miles should take around 30 minutes and Church Road Loop 0.75 mile route with the option to add in a walk around wooded area.

Mancetter Walks - Mancetter Quarry Loop 5.19 miles moderate difficulty walk allow 2 hours.
