There are new rules for businesses and citizens from 1 January 2021.

As a Council we are keen to ensure that you are aware of these changes and can access the appropriate support and advice available both nationally and locally.

You need to act now if you’re:

• importing goods from the EU
• exporting goods to the EU
• moving goods to or from Northern Ireland
• travelling to the EU
• living and working in the EU
• staying in the UK if you’re an EU citizen

Midland Export Academy

The Export Academy from the Department for International Trade will help you grow your business by showing you how to sell to new customers around the world. The course is free, and you’ll learn directly from experts in international trade who are on hand to provide support across a range of sectors and businesses, from selling children’s clothes to Spain, to providing PR services for clients in the US. Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce  

The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce has created a hub of information, resources and events to ensure your business is equipped for January 2021. Coventry & Warwickshire EU Transition Hub (cw-chamber.co.uk)

Federation of Small Businesses  

The FSB have launched a transition hub which is designed to support small businesses and the self-employed understand and prepare for what comes after the end of the UK/EU transition period.
