Election Results – 4th May 2017

Elections took place across Warwickshire for the council period 2017-2021 and all county council seats were up for election.

The Conservative Group now has overall control of Warwickshire County Council and the results are available on the County Council's Election Results webpage


Voting results for County Councillors for North Warwickshire

Atherstone Division - 29.8% voter turnout.

Dirveiks, Neil - Labour - 834 - elected.  Gibson, Aaron - Green - 69.  Gisbourne, Robert - UKIP - 313.  Simpson, Mark - Conservative - 817.


Baddesley and Dordon Division - 31.8% voter turnout.

Davison, Ian William - Green - 73.  Morson, Peter - Labour - 982.  Wright, Andy - Conservative - 1315 - elected.


Coleshill South and Arley Division - 35.9% voter turnout.

Brierley, Nick - Green - 118.  Hayfield, Colin - Conservative - 1732 - elected.  Jerromes, Carl - Labour - 697.


Coleshill North and Water Orton Division -  40.4% voter turnout.

Barrett, James - Green - 70.  Farrell, Adam - Labour - 935.   Reilly, David, Conservative - 1676 - elected.


Hartshill and Mancetter Division -  31.3% voter turnout

Bell, Margaret, Conservative - 1155 - elected.   Bourne, Ian, Green - 79.  Clark, Chris - Labour - 799.  Freer, Richard - UKIP - 183.


Kingsbury Division -  36% voter turnout

Chambers, Jacqueline - Labour - 611.  Hart, Julia - Green - 72.  Jenns, Andy - Conservative - 1471 - elected.   Moss, Brian - 346.


Polesworth Division -   31.9% voter turnout.

Dearing, Alix - Green - 103.  Humphreys, David - Conservative - 1073.  Parsons, David - Labour - 1191 - elected. 


Neighbourhood Plan Referendum results

Residents were asked if the Borough Council should use the Neighbourhood Plan to help it decide on any future planning applications in the neighbourhood area

In Austrey - 314 voted yes (87.5%) and 41 voted no (11.5%)  

In Coleshill - 1658 voted yes (82%) and 267 voted no (13%)


In the Coleshill North Town Council By-Election, Caroline Symonds (Conservative) was elected.
