We are seeking an experienced and suitably qualified person to provide logistical and technical support for our team of multi skilled tradespeople in order to deliver an effective and productive void property repairs service.
The Charge Hand supports the tradespeople and organises work to be delivered to ensure void properties are repaired efficiently. The post holder is required to ensure that there are safe systems of work in place for all jobs. Where necessary the Charge Hand will organise materials and liaise with sub contractors and suppliers in order to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of all aspects of building construction and maintenance and experience of applying it in domestic properties.
There is a requirement within the job to provide stand by and support the tradespeople to provide for an emergency service out of normal office hours.
A vehicle is provided for the role therefore a full valid driving licence is essential.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. A Standard Disclosure will be required.
