North Warwickshire Borough Council’s Dorothy Barratt, Forward Planning & Economic Development Manager, was invited to attend a special reception at St James’s Palace, recognising the vital contribution of local and regional government and public service employees to communities across the UK.
The reception, which took place on Tuesday, 3 February, brought together representatives from a wide range of public service roles, including head teachers, social workers, and public health professionals.
The event provided an opportunity for attendees to meet the King and Queen and to reflect on the important role local authorities play in supporting residents and delivering essential services.
Councillor David Wright, Leader of the Council, said:
“The Council are immensely proud of Dorothy and delighted that her hard work has been recognised at such a prestigious national event. Dorothy’s contribution benefits our organisation, our communities, and the businesses we support, and we are thrilled to see her receive this well deserved recognition.”
