February saw 33 food hygiene ratings awarded ranging from 5 Very Good to 2 Improvement Necessary.
As well as checking that food is stored, prepared, and cooked hygienically, officers look at many other elements including the cleanliness of premises, pest control, staff training, along with checking records and systems in place to manage food safety.
