March saw 31 food hygiene ratings being awarded to a range of premises including home bakers, shops, takeaways, care homes, school kitchens and cafes.
Ratings are given each time a premises is inspected, as well as looking at how food is stored and handled, officers look at many different elements including cleanliness and structural repair, pest control, traceability of food, staff training, as well as assessing the food safety systems and records in place.
