North Warwickshire Borough Council is asking residents for their views on proposed changes to its Council Tax Support scheme for working-age residents from April 2027.

Council Tax Support helps people on a low income with the cost of their Council Tax. Around 2,000 working-age residents across North Warwickshire currently receive this support.

The Council is proposing to change the current scheme so that eligible working-age residents could receive up to a 100% reduction in their Council Tax, alongside a simpler income-banded approach.

There are no proposed changes to the Council Tax Support scheme for pensioners, who will continue to be able to receive up to a 100% reduction.

The consultation is open from 10 September 2026 until 5pm on 5 November 2026.

Residents, local support organisations and people who currently receive Council Tax Support are encouraged to take part and share their views.
