Leisure Facilities supports our Armed Forces Veterans
From today, Armed Forces Veterans (AFV) living in North Warwickshire can access leisure and recreation activities at a discounted rate thanks to the introduction of the new Armed Forces Veterans Concessionary Membership scheme.
Veteran Corporal Adam Harrison has completed over 12 years service in the RAF, during which time he has served overseas on operations in Northern Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan in over 200 active operations.
Corporal Harrison has had an incredibly diverse career, where he has excelled as a sniper, sniper instructor and was deployed in support of the 2012 Olympic Games as one of only eight Air-to-Air snipers protecting the skies over London.
Adam has been a gym member at Polesworth Sports Centre since he was 15yrs old and worked there as a fitness instructor prior to starting his military career.
Adam supports the new AFV membership deal that North Warwickshire Borough Council has introduced and urges all the veterans living in North Warwickshire to get on board.
Armed Forces Veterans can access the Council’s Lifetime's sites at Arley Sports Centre, Atherstone Leisure Complex, Coleshill Leisure Centre and Polesworth Sports Centre and enjoy unlimited access, during public opening, to the Lifetimes Fitness Suites, Lifetimes Fitness Classes and at Atherstone Leisure Complex swimming, from as little as £18.33 per month.
