Temporary closure of Birmingham Road, Coleshill to facilitate major gas works.
Warwickshire County Council made a Temporary Traffic Order closing Birmingham Road (Lichfield Road), Coleshill at the roundabout junction of Birmingham Road, adjacent to properties number 51-53 to a point just passed property number 59, to vehicular traffic.
The closure was required to facilitate major gas works.
The Order commenced on 8 April 2018 for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever was the earlier. Unfortunately the works did not commence as planned. However, these works have now been rescheduled to commence 8 May 2018 with anticipation of completion by 29 May 2018.
Pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
An alternative route will be signed and is available via: Lichfield Road, Stonebridge Road, Coventry Road, High Street, Birmingham Road (and vice versa).
