Gold Award for Forces friendly North Warwickshire Borough Council

North Warwickshire Borough Council has been awarded the Ministry of Defense Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award.
The gold award represents the highest badge of honour available to organisations that employ and support those that serve, veterans and their families.
In signing the Armed Forces Covenant( AFC) it is demonstrating its commitment to treating service personnel and their families with fairness and respect, and recognising their dedication and sacrifice in serving our country.
North Warwickshire Borough Council (NWBC) employs several veterans as well as supporting Armed Forces Personnel transitioning in to civilian life, helping with issues such as housing, health, money matters, and any other issues that they may experience.
Paul Roberts, NWBC Lead Armed Forces Covenant Champion said: "I'm delighted to be involved in receiving the gold award, which is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the staff at NWBC and partner organisations."
Steve Maxey, Chief Executive of NWBC said: "We feel incredibly proud to be awarded this recognition for the work that we carry out in regards to the Armed Forces Community and we will continue this commitment going forward."
