The council has achieved the Armed Forces Community Covenant Gold Award.

On the 12th November, Councillor Tony Clews and Paul Roberts, the Lead Armed Forces Champion for the Council, went along to the National Army Museum to collect the Armed Forces Community Covenant Gold Award for providing excellent services to veterans and serving personnel.  The criteria for this award is very high, so it was a fantastic achievement for North Warwickshire Borough Council to be one of only 100 organisations across England and Wales to be awarded gold status.

Councillor Tony Clews stated, “ It was a real privilege to be able to collect the award on behalf of North Warwickshire Borough Council as it is close to home for me having served in the RAF for many years.  I would like to thank all of the staff at North Warwickshire Borough Council for the hard work and dedication that they provide to members of the Armed Forces.”
