North Warwickshire Borough Council will be supporting a minute’s silence at 12 midday and a wave of light at 8pm as part of the day of reflection to mark the anniversary of the UK’s first Covid lockdown, when those who died in the pandemic will be remembered. It’s also hoped that people will help create a nationwide ‘beacon of remembrance’ on their doorsteps by beaming ‘phones, candles and torches into the night sky at 8pm.
We’ll be sounding the fire alarms in The Council House and Old Bank House at 12 noon and again at 12.01 today to mark the one minute’s silence and The Council House will be lit externally during this evening.
