Frequently Asked Questions
Why have I received a letter?
Every resident in North Warwickshire will receive this letter, even if their collection day or schedule is not changing.
This ensures all households are fully informed about:
- Why we have had to change existing refuse rounds and collection days
- Possible changes to collection day
- Preparations for your new Food Waste Collection Service
Why is my bin collection changing?
Over the years with new homes being built in North Warwickshire the existing rounds have become unbalanced and need to be rebuilt to ensure that the service you receive is operating effectively and efficiently.
In addition, the Council want to ensure that every resident has the opportunity to recycle and to play their part in reducing the amount of waste sent to incineration or landfill.
The changes will allow us to introduce in the future; a food waste collection services and a battery and small electrical and electronic collection. The service changes will allow us to reduce the risk of fires in the refuse trucks whilst separating these items for recycling and recovery.
Why have I received a letter if my collection day hasn’t changed?
This is to ensure that all households are fully informed about the service changes and to raise awareness of the upcoming introduction of the new recycling services including a new Food Waste Collection Service.

Has my collection frequency changed?
