Emergency Food
Funded through the UKSPF Levelling Up fund, North Warwickshire BC are now working with We Care UK to provide emergency food for people who are struggling and in food crisis. We Care UK is a 100% volunteer led charitable organisation. To find out more information about We Care UK.
The following organisations have been approved, and if you are already in touch with them and working with them, they will be able to make an application on your behalf:
- NWBC
- Citizens Advice
- Family Information Service
- Act on Energy
- Better Housing Better Health
- Severn Trent Water
- Social Prescribers
You will not be able to refer yourself.
Once a referral is made, We Care UK will contact you direct within a few hours, so you must make sure you give the correct, or best contact details, to put on the referral form.
We Care UK will contact you to talk about making arrangements to deliver the food direct to your accommodation. Please make sure you are in at the time agreed as this may affect any future food awarded.
‘Emergency Food’ provided by We Care UK is for those that are in a crisis situation. To have access to further awards you will also need to work with We Care UK who will offer and provide money advice and support, and will signpost you to other help when it is needed.
