Notice of Delay to Publication of the Unaudited Draft Statement of Accounts 2025/26

The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 as amended by Accounts and Audit (Amendment) Regulations 2024 require the council to publish the unaudited Statement of Accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2026 and make these available for public inspection on or before 1 July 2026.

The Council hereby gives notice of a delay to the publication of the Unaudited Draft Statement of Accounts 2025/26.

The delay has arisen due to work undertaken post implementation of a new system to ensure the accuracy of income related to 2025/26.

Land South-West of Heanley Lane, Hurley (Formerly Wrens Nest Site)

Following the return hearing on the 4th June 2026 an amended court order (dated 19th June 2026) changes the order to a “status quo” injunction whilst the matters are ongoing. Given the significant increase in defendants that were presented to the courts during the hearing, a further return hearing is planned for the 17th July 2026. All the relevant court documents are available using the following link: Land South-West of Heanley Lane, Hurley (Former Wrens Nest Site) | Planning Injunctions | North Warwickshire Borough Council.

Further investigations and formal proceedings are ongoing with regards to the breach of the extant enforcement notices on the land.
