UKSPF Application

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is part UK government’s ambitious Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. It provides £2.6 billion of new funding for local investment by March 2025, with all areas of the UK receiving an allocation from the Fund via a funding formula rather than a competition. It will help places right across the country deliver enhanced outcomes and recognises that even the most affluent parts of the UK contain pockets of deprivation and need support.

What is the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and how will it affect North Warwickshire?

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda. The fund will invest in domestic priorities and target funding where it is needed most: building pride in place, supporting high quality skills training, supporting pay, employment and productivity growth and increasing life chances.

The UKSPF replaces the support that local authorities previously accessed through the European Structural and Investment Funds prior to the UK’s exit from the European Union.

How much has North Warwickshire been allocated from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund?

North Warwickshire Borough Council has been successful in applying for £1.965million from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund

How will the money be spent?

The £1.965million allocated will be used to support a range of projects including a grants scheme to allow voluntary organisations and community groups to improve their neighbourhoods and community facilities; a programme of investment in green spaces and play facilities; a comprehensive programme of business support to assist businesses to be more productive, reduce their carbon footprint and create new jobs; and a programme of support to assist people not in employment to help the move closer to employment, education and training.

Where can I keep updated on the projects?
