North Warwickshire Ranked Second Most Improved Council for Waste Collection in England
North Warwickshire Borough Council is the second most improved Council in England when it comes to waste service collection, according to the recent Local Authority collected waste management annual results for 2023-2024.
The Council currently provides collection services for 29,803 properties within the borough, which includes dry recycling collections (red bin), domestic waste collections (black bin) and green waste collections (green bin).
North Warwickshire Borough Council also operates a trade waste collection service to businesses and commercial premises within the borough.
In September 2023, the Council started to deliver the bulk of its recycling materials to Sherbourne Recycling Facility. Sherbourne is the most advanced state-of-the-art Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) of its kind in the UK.
The plant utilises specialist AI technology to process dry mixed residential kerbside recycling in the most sustainable and efficient way possible.
