The Council is working with Atherstone Town Community Football Club to explore options for a sustainable model and funding to help the Club progress from level 5 to level 4.
Officers of the Council have met with representatives of Atherstone Town Community Football Club as part of ongoing discussions about the Club’s aspirations, and to understand what support the Council could provide the Club in building a sustainable operating model and football club.
The Council agreed to continue the work that has already taken place with Atherstone Town Community Football Club in recent years to look at and explore all options that would assist the Club in building a sustainable operating model, that would be able to attract the right funding at the right time, that supports the Club’s aspirations of moving from a football foundation level 5 to a level 4 club.
