What is a Pump Track?

A pump track is a track made up of a series of bumps and jumps designed to be ridden without pedalling. Riders use their body weight and momentum to navigate through the track, pumping the bike up and down to maintain speed and flow. The track is typically made of dirt, asphalt, or concrete, and can vary in size and complexity.

Why are Pump Tracks beneficial?

The beauty of a pump track lies in its ability to challenge riders of all skill levels. From beginners looking to improve their bike handling skills to seasoned professionals seeking a new adrenaline rush, the track offers something for everyone. The rhythmic pumping motion required to navigate the track provides a full-body workout and enhances balance, coordination, and agility.

Pump tracks have been popping up in communities around the world, attracting riders of all ages. Here are a few reasons why pump tracks are gaining popularity:

  • Accessibility: Pump tracks are relatively easy and inexpensive to build, making them accessible to communities of all sizes.
  • Inclusivity: Pump tracks are suitable for riders of all skill levels, from beginners to experts, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Safety: Compared to other extreme sports facilities, pump tracks are generally safer and less intimidating, making them a great option for families and beginners.
