Residents of Dordon and surrounding areas have come together to celebrate the opening of North Warwickshire Borough Council’s brand-new Pump Track.

The Pump Track is in Kitwood Recreation Ground, Dordon, and was completed in January 2025.

The Open Day for the Pump Track was held on Saturday, 1st March 2025.

Councillor Byron Melia and Councillor Davina Ridley, Dordon’s Independent Borough Councillors, attended and kindly provided helmets for residents using the Pump Track to keep.

12 young small business owners took part in our Teenage Market, showcasing and selling their products that they had created themselves.

There were numerous large inflatables for the children, as well as an ice cream and coffee van.

Talented riders attended to demonstrate their skills, doing tricks and jumps on the Pump Track.

Margaret Bell, Chair of Community and Environment Board, said: “We are beyond pleased with how the pump track has turned out, it will bring families and children to Kitwood Park and will hopefully be enjoyed for many years to come. The new Pump Track will now provide children with a safe place to ride their bikes and scooters in their local area. The event had a brilliant turnout, it was great to see people enjoying the track and learning from the demonstrations.”
