Tuesday mornings, 10.00-12.30pm - can you join us or help us spread the word?
Our training sessions are designed to help residents deepen their understanding of their rights, connect with other social housing residents, share knowledge and experiences, and learn effective strategies for engagement.
As one participant put it:
“It helped me understand my rights as a tenant and gave me the confidence to question my landlord. Hearing others’ views was empowering—so much knowledge from many minds”
The sessions cover:
- Session 1: Know your social housing rights (Sept 16)
- Session 2: The standards your landlord needs to meet (Sept 23)
- Session 3: Your landlord and the law (Sept 30)
- Session 4: Equality and diversity in social housing (Oct 7)
- Session 5: Your landlord and your money (Oct 14)
- Session 6: Awaab’s Law – making your home safer, faster (Oct 21)
- Session 7: Handling your complaints (Oct 28)
- Session 8: Working with your landlord – resident panels (Nov 4)
- Session 9: Running your residents’ association (Nov 11)
Sessions are open to all social housing residents and people are welcome to drop in for one or attend all 9 sessions.
