North Warwickshire Borough Council is proud to take part in the Great British Spring Clean once again!

This year, the campaign runs from 13 March - 29 March 2026, with pledging opening from 13 February 2026. That gives everyone plenty of time to register and plan their clean‑up activity!

What is the Great British Spring Clean?

The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass‑action environmental campaign, organised by Keep Britain Tidy, bringing together individuals, schools, groups, businesses and councils to take pride in where we live by tackling litter together. 

Free Litter‑Picking Kits for Your Group

To support your clean‑up efforts, we offer free litter‑picking kits for schools, community groups and individuals in North Warwickshire. Each kit includes:

• Around 20 litter‑picking sticks

• Bag hoops

• High‑visibility vests

• Gloves and hand wipes

• Graffiti wipes

• A basic first aid kit

• Safety guidance

We’ll deliver your kit to you before your litter pick, collect it afterwards, and arrange to collect all filled bags too, making it as easy as possible to take part!

Share Your Spring Clean Moments

We’d love to see your litter‑picking in action! Please share your photos and stories with us so we can celebrate your efforts and inspire others across North Warwickshire. Tag us on social media or email your pictures to groundsandstreetsmaintenance@northwarks.gov.uk, we may feature them on our Council social channels and website throughout the Great British Spring Clean campaign. 

Pledge on the Keep Britain Tidy Website

You can also pledge your support directly on the Keep Britain Tidy website by committing to pick up one bag of litter, or more, during the campaign. Pledging there helps the national effort and adds your action to the country‑wide total of litter collected during the Great British Spring Clean (running 13 March – 29 March 2026) 

Important: pledging on the KBT website does not automatically register you for one of our free local litter‑picking kits from North Warwickshire Borough Council. If you want a kit from us (with litter‑picking sticks, bag hoops, gloves etc), please also email groundsandstreetsmaintenance@northwarks.gov.uk to let us know, and we’ll get you sorted!
